I’ve been spending my days purging our house. This is something that has to be done before we can move.
I have to decide what’s important and what’s not.
Now, we aren’t getting rid of EVERYTHING. We will decide what’s going in storage, what we can sell, and what will come with us onto the RV.
Here’s the deal. Our house goes on the market NEXT WEEK. Yes, you read that right. We have a realestate agent and everything (like what?!).
We feel if this is what God wants us to do that our house will sell and we will find the right RV for our family.
We will sell our house, take the money we make, and buy our RV.
This process is the biggest and craziest leap we have taken.
Back to the purging. I am starting with my closest. I’m getting rid of and selling anything I’m not particular loving or if I haven’t worn it in the past few years.
My next step is deciding how many outfits we each need. It really depends on how much storage we will have also. Whatever we don’t take will be packed away into storage.
I’m thinking a pair of boots or two for winter, flip flops, my slip on converse, running shoes, and a dressier pair of shoes. For clothes I’m going to pick a few cute tops, a few casual tops, my absolute favorite dresses, 2 pairs of jeans, a pair of black leggings, a pair of black Capri leggings, workout shorts, a few t-shirts, a few pairs of pajama shorts and undies. I’m going to take a few of my favorite necklaces and that’s it on jewlery.
Becoming pregnant and gaining weight has shown me that I don’t NEED as many clothes as I like having. There was a point where I had 2 dresses and 2 pairs of Jean shorts and one pair of jeggings that fit me. That in itself helped open my eyes to my obsession with clothes and that I don’t NEED much to enjoy life.
Living tiny is going to be a huge change. It’s going to be both very challenging and very rewarding.
We are following a call that is one we honestly never thought would happen.
Matt and I know we are following the right path because of the darkness that has tried to overtake our life lately. Usually when you’re following God’s plan the devil will try and step in your way many a times.
We are pushing on. We know there is a light at the end of our battles.
I can’t wait to share our journey more and more with you all.
I’ll post more as I dig deeper into purging! It’s not an easy thing to do…letting go of clothes..but so far it FEELS so refreshing!
